In the still barely resolved VA senate/congressional race.
I really went b/c of Proposition 1 which was a “marriage act”. Pure BS. People who are in love and want to marry should be allowed to. 18 y.o . or 16 y.o. with parental permission. That’s it. I don’t care who you marry. Black, white, gay, straight.
What’s the difference?
Want to “protect marriage” ban divorce.
Okay, mini-rant over.

I’ve just started looking at this group’s website. I’m not sure if we’ll be a good fit yet, but it looks interesting. At the very least I can write letters. Right? They’re doing important work.
I’ve had this goal on my list for a long time and I haven’t gotten anything done on it yet. Not really. A letter here, a petition there. I need to find a focus and stick with it.

Signed up at One.org to help end global poverty. There are a lot of decisions being made right now at G8. Tony Blair and George W. are in private talks to determine where they stand on the African poverty and AIDS crisis. I figued I should let the G8 know where I stand on poverty if nothing else.

Committee to Protect Bloggers
Check out this blog to see the on-going efforts to free bloggers who have been arrested in Iran for speaking thier minds. One has been sentenced to 14 years for expressing his displeasure. This is not something that we can ignore.
We need to become the voices for the voiceless. If they cannot speak, we must.
