write songs

I wrote about 9 instrumental pieces last month and submitted them to various listings on TAXI. I got one forwarded for consideration in a music library for film and TV. I think this is good progress. I am avoiding the complexity of writing/singing/recording vocals but just focusing on instrumentals right now.

I’ve written lots of song fragments. I took some lyric courses via Berklee Online. I still don’t have any complete songs or recordings.

I have written a few songs in my life. I have always been interested in songwriting and think about it a lot. I have studied songwriting. I keep thinking I need to be a better musician. I am a pretty good guitar player. I play bass as well. I am very fluent in computer recording and have even edited and mastered a few CDs. I think I am afraid to write songs. I know they won’t be professional quality. But I need to start so I can improve and be proud of the results. I need a simple recording setup. I will working that this year!
