hm. i really enjoyed the premise and the writing, but the acting really left something to be desired. not a favorite, but i’m glad i watched it.

just wonderful. funny, wistful . . . as skeptical as allen is of monogamy, he’s damn sentimental about it. just a beautiful film. i liked this one 10x better than “manhattan.”
i liked it, but the characters and story really didn’t affect me like “c&m” or “h&w”. but the music, the cinematography, the mood . . . that was exquisite. next up? “stardust memories.”
picking it up from the library tomorrow. next? “stardust memories.” i love (with only the slightest exception) all his movies i’ve seen, but have little hope that they will affect me as profoundly as “husbands and wives” or “crimes and misdemeanors.” seriously, does film get any better?
