A dear friend has worked at the south pole three times. After talking with him this week about his next job, I began wondering what I would do with all my stuff if I got a job at the pole.
What things would I pay to put into storage for my return? keep those
What could be sent on for others’ use? give away
What needs to be garbage (or recycled)? ugh, too much!
I will get rid of things as if I’m moving to the south pole!!

Today, I did #30 to my gmail—moved everything to archive unless it needed immediate response. I also deleted all the tags, so that I don’t have to debate what to tag it before I archive it. Just respond, and archive. Gmail has a great search engine and I can find whatever I need later, when I actually need it. Seeing that box empty was such a relief! Now, I will have to find a way to do that in Entourage to my work email next week.

I sincerely want to go through this list, deliberately, and adopt as many of these changes as possible. My cluttered, complex life is exhausting me. With this changing season, I will strive to usher in dramatic change for myself as well. Wish me luck :)
ps. Thank you Matt, I found the link on your del.icio.us :)
