I really like them now. — 1 year ago
I am still afraid of spiders, but I now overcome my fear of them and other bugs, meaning I don’t frantically kill them. It seemed unfair. I don’t usually scream at the top my lungs when finding one on me anymore. I trained myself to literally blow them off instead of hitting them. But I coldbloodedly kill mosquitos and flies and parasites, and, if overpopulated, cockroaches. Now I feel good about spiders, they’re decent company really, so long as they aren’t huge and leaping out at you. They mostly eat things you’d rather not have proliferating, which is good too. But they’re wierd. They seem attracted to vibration so stamping your foot to keep them at bay just attracts them. I think they understand human language, though I’ve never seen one laugh.
