as a result of reading a little article on salon.com, i bought an Omron pedometer. cutest little thing. it records your steps for seven consecutive days, and based on the weight and stride length you enter, will even estimate miles walked and calories burned. since i bought it i am very motivated to walk a little farther, or on one more errand.
yesterday i walked 19,289 steps. if i’d been paying a little more attention i would have walked the extra 711 steps to get over 20,000 before it was past midnight. i have a feeling that this might make a difference, motivation to exercise that actually works, a form of exercise that i might actually do.
