I just signed up for a new yoga class. My plan: go to class 2 x a week, do yoga at home 2 x a week. I think this is reasonable.

ive acctually kind of cocked this one up, and so close to the end of my challenge. But i’ll get back on the horse and start again until i make it through three whole months without a break.

Ok so this week has been so off kilter I am a bit behind on my goal. But I think I have made up fo r it by doing mostly way more than 4 in earlier weeks. And I promise ot get back on track ASAP.

Wow. I’ve been doing alright with this goal. I’m still sticking to at least four times a week, usually doing more than that.

My body is a better place to be.

Life has been really stressful lately, and I think the quiet time and space I take to look after myself is keeping me sane.

Mannn it feels so good. I am doing well with this goal, even though I am busy and drained from a new work assignment that I hate.

Let’s see if i have the follow-through…

yoga benefits  — 1 year ago

Besides just feeling much more like I am inhabiting my body, I feel more centred and calm when I am practicing yoga often. And flexible, strong, resilient.

But don’t get me wrong there are vanity benefits too:

My knees are getting less ugly…
My stomach is getting flatter, and more toned…
My posture is getting much better…
My arms are getting firmer…
Even my breasts are looking better supported!

more yoga blathering  — 1 year ago

I just found a goldmine of yoga videos to use in my practice. Among them are practices that focus on stregthening upper body, the abs, fat burning and depression.

Yehaw~ I was feeling crappy today, and so I did a double whammy of yoga and I feel a little better.

THE YOGA CHALLENGE: week 3  — 1 year ago

It was looking nearly like only three times this week, but I went ahead and did a few days worth today. Phew!

It feels so good, and makes me crave healthier things afterwards, like water and fresh veggies. And I am less anxious, and more patient.

I would like to see it make a difference in my little spare tire and dimply elbows next, I am starting to carry some extra fat on my little frame and it doesn’t feel nice.

Yoga is the exercise for me!

yoga challenge  — 1 year ago

I’ve been busy with a new job but its worked out okay because I’ve been doing a nice low key practice just before bed.

I feel sooooo much better in every way when I am doing yoga regularly.

I was really good about doing my yoga for September and October, but after the fire when we had to move it abruptly stopped. At first because things were so crazy, and then because we got a roommate and I felt kind of shy about it.

Then Christmas came and that was all about lazy hedonism.

But I am back at it, trying for mostly-every-daily, and have found a private space to feel comfortable.

So let’s see if i can keep it up for three months in a row?
