So this is a nearly impossible goal. but what I do now is save the nearly off bits for soup stock, or else feed them to my compost worms. So I am still happy with the results.

Sometimes there are a few extra bits of the middle of the celery, or a stubby third of a zucchini that slip through the cracks. But we’ve been doing much better.
It probably helps that we live one minute from a grocery store and don’t need to buy weekly supplies.
i’m doing pretty good with this. It helps being too broke to eat out, and having the fridge empty enough that your veggies don’t get lost in the corner somewhere.
So… I am doing this thing where I cut up the veggies when I get them, and put them in tupperware. It is some work when I buy them, but it makes it easier to use them in salads, stirfries, etc. Also buying thst living l;ettuce, it costs a little mroe but it stays alive!
We’ll see how this goes.
