What does this mean?

I’m on a spiritual path. The aim of the path is to become pure and break attachments to this material world. When we have desires and pulls/attractions to this physical world, it keeps us from progressing on our spiritual path. When we have spiritual desires, then the path is easy. To be come complete, for me, means to remove all waste and rust from my being so that I can have pure loving relationships with others and with God.
