…aaaaand I'm back.

An hour’s walking around in the rain has yielded a couple potential sit spots, one further from the path than the other. They both have pros and cons so I’ll be revisiting each of them over the next few days to discover which feels right.

It's 05:10 and I'm up and at 'em.

As luck wold have it, it’s raining. Hard. That wasn’t part of the plan. Oh well.

That didn't work.

Guess who overslept? I didn’t wake up till 06:48 which was far too late to go out looking for solitude and seclusion. I’ll aim to be abed betimes tonight, giving myself a better shot at being in the midst of nature at 05:00 tomorrow.

Step 1: Decide upon my sit spot.

In the words of the website behind this idea, There are 2 basic requirements that every sit spot should have 1) It needs to be close to your house and 2) you need to feel safe while there. It is ideal for it to be wild, have a water source, be abundant with wildlife, have a view, and a whole slew of other things.

I have a potential place in mind. I’ll go check it out tomorrow.
