keep in touch with friends

I went to my 5-year reunion last weekend, and it was awesome! I got to see and chat with so many people I’d lost touch with. What a great feeling!

I find myself hoping, just like I did when I graduated from high school, that I don’t lose touch with anyone. Of course, I probably will – that’s just the way things go.

Aww, I’m happy. My friend who’s abroad isn’t mad at me for waiting forever to contact her – she was just happy I did. Which is how I’d feel about it, but for some reason I assume people will get nasty about it.

Going to my 5-year high school reunion in 2 weeks! That should further along this whole keep in touch thing!

Just emailed my friend who is abroad, finally! :)

I suck at this, really badly. Then I get terrified that my friends are mad at me because of this (it’s happened before), and I “hide” even more. I say that friends are one of the most important things in my life, but I don’t act like it. I’ve got to start changing that.

I’ll start small and email or call one long-distance friend every week, and actually make contact with at least one nearby friend, voluntarily. If that’s too easy, I’ll up it to two.
