Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Hi Flirt,
Thank you for your prayers. The night of the bombing
in my town, it was about 10 pm and I was still working. We planned to go to that department store but
we were too busy at the shop. (very lucky)
Many people were injured and 4 was reported dead.
That is very bad situation as we had never thought
that this kind of situation would happen in our town.
After the bomb, we had a constitutional reformed
by soldiers yesterday but it was a peaceful reform.
The soldiers took over the prime minister’s chair and
now we can get our prime minister out of his chair.
It was a shocking and surprised event which many Thais
had never expected it before. They anounced it a
holiday yesterday (but I still have to work) ;[. The
reformation was settled down in the morning and
many Thai felt relieved that nothing serious happened
during the reformation.
post script:
The bombing situation is so scary and not many
people
want to go shopping right now as there might be
some
more. Who knows?
Yesterday,
a small boy told me
He didn’t know how to pray.
It was an excuse (for him)
but I took his hand and prayed.
Last night,
I watched the news
and wondered:
How many knew to pray.
How many in fear and grief,
without excuse,
will take your outstretched hand
and hear the still small voice?
Today,
let my prayers
be theirs.
Amen.

BEIRUT, Lebanon (AP) – Israel widened its offensive against Hezbollah guerrillas on Thursday, targeting Beirut’s international airport and blasting southern Lebanon for a second day
If I could write
I would write a poem
About war,
And somber skies would hide
The beauty of the earth,
And angry seas
Would give harbor
To its discontent.
Not the war in Lebanon,
Nor Iran
Nor Afghanistan nor Sudan
But all the wars of hatred sown like weeds
Growing everywhere profusely.
Old men would grow silent from their tales,
Remembering what they could not forget,
And the young would shout hurrah!
Because they knew no better,
But later cry
Because they could do no other,
And peace would not come
Because we practiced it not.
But if I cannot write,
I will pray
And ask for mercy
Because we know what we do
And do it anyway.
