I told my husband that this coming week when we are both home I want to list the stuff I have around the house on eBay, that includes the Mary Kay stuff I have which today I am officially not a consultant anymore.
However, I’ve been telling him for the last several months I need to get everything listed. We’ve had it boxed up for awhile now. If I get rid of the stuff we have for eBay that will clear up some space in my basement also assisting with the clean house and organize goals I have. It’s amazing how many of my goals go hand in hand.
Anyway, by listing the household stuff I can build feedback while deciding if I want my business to be based on a craft I make or just a bunch of used stuff, much of which I can get from garage sales and goodwill. I guess I could do a mix of both. Household stuff seems to sell if you have the right stuff, and that would give me time to run trial and error on the other stuff.
With this declining economy right now, extra money will be helpful. On the other hand, with the declining economy people may be less likely to buy new things…but used stuff might be more plausible. Hmmm…lot’s to think about. I’ll have to consult more with my husband. He’s better at business stuff than I am.
