organize my house

Sounds like my husband wants to tackle the garage tomorrow, I said I’d help him, but thought I might take on the office if he had a handle on it. We are getting so close on this…I just never realized how much stuff we actually have!

Got some more done today. I’m actually amazed that I’m coming to a close on this goal. When I put it on here I really did think it was a wishful thinking goal. Guess I proved myself wrong.

is balanced. This is such a chore for me. I don’t run off a budget, but I do make sure to save plenty and get all the bills paid on time. I also pay way over on a lot of them. Maybe that’s something I should do…create a budget. But that still won’t help me keep track of the checkbook. I’m used to having plenty of funds (for once in my life) so I take for granted that the funds will be there. Also not helping my case is that I have a $1000 cushion in my checking account, so if in some rare instance I do fall below the 0 mark, I have extra money to help me out.

This is one financial area I really need to pay more attention to. But at least when I balanced it this time it came out to the penny on every spot I checked. At least I’m being accurate!

I got my credenza today. We have affectionately named him George. The reason is, when I told my husband I bought it, it made him think of that guy from Seinfeld…you know…George Costanza. Ever since we have referred to it as the Costanza. Now it is called George. Anyway, this is going to help me organize a bit more by allowing me more room to place some things closer to the kitchen then they have been before. Such as my China, cookbooks, phonebook and notepad, etc. Yay for organization!!

I went through my yarn basket yesterday. Over the last year it has become more than a yarn basket for my crochet, it has also become a storage basket for all kinds of magazines. So I went through and figured out which magazines to keep and which to toss. Now I just have to organize the one’s I want to keep and that part will be done.

is returning items to people that don’t belong to me. What is funny about this statement, is I don’t borrow things from people. Usually they (my sister) ask me to store it while they remodel and then never pick it up again! I took the tv I’d been storing for her back to her today. I didn’t give her a choice, I just asked if she’d be home later, she said yes, so I said, cool I’ll drop of the tv then! Yay, my family room as a bit more space now!!

I’ve been slowly buying some organizational supplies. I’ve also been taking a lot of stuff to GoodWill. So, now I think I’m pretty much down to one more room to finish off. Once I get the credenza I ordered, that will organize sooooo much…then there will only be a few more things I gotta figure out.
