learn Tarot

Okay, so I haven’t pulled the cards out to learn or work with them. But I did buy Flower Spirit Cards. I think they’re kinda cheesy, but they do have some good short messages to focus on when drawn one at a time. The author instructs to kinda use them like Tarot, by laying them out in a spread. I guess I don’t want to put that much work into them. I’d rather just focus on one card at a time. Maybe in the future I’ll use them in a more advanced way, right now I’m comfortable using them one by one.

I bought a wooden box for my Tarot cards today. I thought it would protect them a little better than the cardboard box they were brought home in. I want to get some black cloth to wrap them in, but the box will do for now. Maybe this will entice me to pull them out a little more often.

today from Amazon. It is called Jung and Tarot by Sallie Nichols. I owned it once before, but a roommate gone bad stole it, so now I’m replacing it. I’m excited about it and I think it will help me with some of my learning and understanding of symbolism.

I downloaded the free lessons from www.learntarot.com.

Now I just have to use it!

I am so bad about making excuses for this. I need to take the time to go to learntarot.com and actually learn it! I could do a little bit a day. I did a Tarot reading for my husband when he was home on a visit; being honest in what I saw in the symbolism, but not knowing the first thing about it. I gave him my “reading”, then went back and took the “instructions” and told him what the cards said based on that…and my interpretation was practically identical!! I was amazed. If that isn’t a sign to learn it, I don’t know what is!
