Find 200 geocaches

What a beautiful Memorial weekend!! I went caching twice and found 10 more in all. I’m up to 170!! I just moved to a new neighborhood recently so I’m trying to find everything within walking distance before I start driving off…

the weather needs to warm up!!! i want to go caching!!

Oh, and has anyone else encountered this problem?

I was out caching and ran into some fellow cachers at the hiding spot. I was being very friendly but then the woman asked me how many caches I’d found. When I replied, “somewhere around 150” she and her husband were like, “well, WE’VE found over a thousand. you don’t know anything about caching, do you?” I thought it was rude. It doesn’t matter if you’ve found 5, 100, 1000 or more…it’s just for fun!! No one is any better than anyone else.

I was higher up than I thought!! I am at 157 and I has estimated I’d found less than that. I work as a nanny for a one year old and a four year old and today we’re going to go out and find a cache. They’ve never done it before but there is one at a park we frequent and I thought it might be something they could get into! It could be a nice summer activity for the three of us.

As much as I love caching, I just hate the cold weather. I couple of years ago I spent a lot of time caching in the snow (boyfriend really wanted to do it) and I decided the cold was too much for me. I moved to a new area in September so I have an entirely new set of close-to-home caches to find!! I like to start from my home and find everything within walking distance and then branch out to new areas. I did some caching during Sept-Oct and it was a great way to get to know my new neighborhood!

Summer caching, here I come!!
