ugh! back down to $10. But it’s worth it: I used the remaining savings to buy a plane ticket to go see a very special person :)

I’ve only got $110 but I’m getting there! It’s almost impossible for me to save money given my current job situation so this might take a while. But I’m still happy I’m making progress!

I’m a pretty bad impulse shopper. It’s never anything big but it does add up. I, however, am not the type to just go out and buy anything. When I do buy stuff I always have a specific thing in mind that I want. I’ve started holding back from buying those things and instead I take the money I would have spent and put it in a “savings box.” For example: tonight on the way home from work I wanted to stop at Starbucks for a drink. I thought, “Hey, it’s only three, four bucks. What does it matter?” But instead I drove straight home, made some tea I already had, and threw four dollars into the savings box. Yay!! It’s a great form of self-control.
