find a job i like

I had a fantastic job for a while but was laid off. I’m now working in a job that I guess is okay but I’m not happy. Sometimes I dread waking up in the morning but all in all, it’s not unbearable. However, I am barely getting paid enough to get by. I have rent, utilities, gas bill, car payment, insurance and gas, groceries, student loans, credit cards and I have to pay for my own health coverage since it’s not offered through work. Sometimes I have to decide whether I’m going to eat or pay for electricity. I have no chance for a raise but it’s proving difficult to find another job in this financial market. I figure I can scrimp until I find something I like, instead of going from this to another stressful job. Wish me luck!!

I finally found a job I like and can stick with for a good long time. I’m working in a custom stationary shop, hand-making cards and invitations. It’s fun, artistic…I never thought I’d actually get to do something I enjoy. I stuck it out with a very very crappy job for months so I could get the opportunity to do this. So keep looking! That perfect job is out there somewhere!!
