I just remembered I had this goal to tick off. I’m 16lbs down, and more than a clothes size. I’m going to keep up my mediterrasian diet cause i like it and it will keep me healthy. I might even live a bit longer cause of it :). My only tip for you all (and its a good tip) is this … GO TO MediterrAsian.com….. it makes it all so so easy. Good luck :)

My weight loss is slowing down a bit, but its still happening, thinking of joining a gym to give it an extra boost and give myself more energy.
Chilled out a bit over the weekend as I always planned to do and didn’t diet so rigorously, none the less lost another pound in the last three days. Im pretty pleased with that and I still got to eat my Sunday dinner and sneak some halloween chocolate. :) I also had a peice of Fudge cake, but once a week isn’t any harm, I odn’t see the point in being miserable while you diet. Also, if you do lose track don;t think ‘oh my diet is ruined’ or you will give up, just think ‘okay i gave myself a treat, now i just have to work hard to make up for it’
I just checked off my 5lbs goal as done and it felt sooooo good, I know Im on a lucky streak at the moment with this and I think its because I used to eat alot of carbs and eating less of them in favour of protein is improving my metabolism. N o doubt this will crash and some point but i will ride this wave as long as I can.
So thats 5lbs down and 9 to go! wohoo im into single figures.
Wohoo, somehow lost another couple of pounds in last 2 days. Even had chinese takeaway, just selected wisely (Chicken and chinese mushrooms with a small portion of vegetable rice) was extremely good. This diet is definitely to my liking, I enjoy the food, I’m never hungry and I have more energy. Jeans definitely feeling looser now. well, 4 down, 10 to go. Which seems like a whoooole lot closer, definitely worth starting right away, If I hadn’t started this 5 days a go I would still be 4lbs heavier than I am, next aim is to lose another pound in the next week and then I can ticl off one of my other goals which is to lose 5lbs. At the slow rate of a pound a week from now on I would still have lost the full stone by the new year.
How good would it feel to start 2007 all that thinner. :D. I’m really happy.
Going quite well, its the initial start of diet metabolic shift so weight drops off easier, so I dont expect to keep losing weight at the rate of 2/3 of a pound a day (wouldn’t that be nice) but 2 pounds down means i only have 12 to go. My jeans do feel a little looser on the tummy which is nice. I have a pair in my closet that i bought but was too big for and once I lose a stone I should get into them easily.
I am still following the mediterasian plan but im doing it quite loosely at the moment and sticking to the fundamentals, I will introduce the rest gradually to make things more doable (plus adjusting my diet will stop my weight loss plateauing, basically am eating fewer carbs, more protein, alot of fish and seafood, less processed foods, smaller portions, more meals, and trying to get protein in all of them. I’m also drinking more water.
Other than the weight loss I’m noticing I have more energy and enthusiasm and Im finding it easier to get out of bed in a morning.
Im hoping to lose another pound atlast by this time next week and secretly im hoping for another 2. Just think, 1 week today I could have 1o pounds left to go before i recah my goal.
Also have discovered a way to keep my famously sweet tooth at bay, it involves a teaspoon of golden syrup. Granted not usually a useful dieting tool , but one teaspoon of golden syrup completely deminishes my sugar cravings and its not too much of a danger to keep it around cause its far too sickly to binge on, 1 teaspoon is more than enough.
well thats all for now, will post again soon.
So now I have basically planned my diet, will start after next grocery day. Whn I’ve bought the stuff I plan to eat. Then will introduce the 2 other elements (exercise and meditation) as I go along, want to find some exercises I really enjoy first. Will be starting full on (food diary and the works) about a week from now, was just wondering if anyone wanted to join me and share in progress to keep eachother motivated. Not that you need to use the same plan as me, but basically fill one another in on the happenings of our weight loss plan atleast once every 2 days and keep eachothe motivated. Does seem to be the general point of this page but er, is anyone actually doing it?
Okay, so now I have planned out my diet, I have decided to inspire myself by chosing an ‘inspiration icon’ if you will. The aim is not to try and become exactly like this person because I am happy being myself, they simply act as a visual aid. I have chosen Adriana Lima, partially because she is incredibly sexy and feminine with a beautiful body, partially because she looks happy and healthy not svelt and sickly and partially because its atainable. There would be no point me using Cameron Diaz as an icon because I have a big butt in comparrison to the rest of me and there would be no point trying to look like Elicia Cuthbert cause I am not a busty blonde, however I am tall with long legs (all be they a little out of shape) a round bum (albeit a little bigger than I would like) and small breasts (though Im not completely flat by any means.) I am also quite dark with big eyes. So Adriana is to me a perfect icon. I am not going to attempt to get her exact body. She was blessed with being that way and it wouldn’t be a very realistic aim but I beleive that if you aim for the moon, even if you don’t succeed you will land amongst the stars. So why dont we all choose an ‘inspiration icon’. I have put up a photo of Adrian, lets get a collection going.
Have put on a little weight recently (alcohol, McDonalds. basically being 17) and have decided to loose a little weight. Im going to follow a Mediterasian plan cause it looks like one of the healthiest. (plus how skinny are asian and mediteranien people generally? lol) I’m not really into fad diets cause common sense tells us balanced diets are the way to go, so completely cutting out food groups seems a tad maladaptive. Anyway, yeah the Mediterasian plan, coupled with getting more sleep, eating more vegetables and drinking more water (all of which help weight loss) and am going to do more exercise than none, which is what I am doing at the moment.
Will let you all know how it goes, good luck everybody.
peace out.
