English 101 3 years ago

Doing good so far in English class. Got a 97 on the first quiz, and a 98 on my first paper. I am so relieved, now I can relax and enjoy the class. Math is good too, got 100’s on both test so far. Student loan went through, I think, so just waiting for the check!

First Test 3 years ago

Well, I took my first math test yesterday. I hope I passed, (that’s a joke, it was only 6 questions and my nine year old step son could have done it)! This business math is a joke, but I guess it’s an okay class to get started out in, used to being back in school and such. English will be a little more challenging, which I am looking forward to, as funny as that sounds! I’ll keep ya posted!

Paid up and enrolled! Yeah! 4 years ago

Well, I did fine on the placement, well in English anyway, a 98, but not so good in math. Guess too many years of not having to do algebra has taken it’s toll. The good news is I can retake the test so I don’t have to start off paying for a math class that does not go toward my degree. So, starting January 10, my 31st birthday, I will be taking English Composition 101, on Tues and Thur, and Business Math on Sat mornings. Or the other way around, I am not sure. But I am excited! Now I am waiting for my financial aid to go through, so cross your fingers for me! Can’t wait!

Take the Test On Monday 4 years ago

Wish me luck. I am taking the placement test on Monday. Kinda nervous. I know I will do well, but it has been almost 15 years since I have been in any kind of school! Yikes! I am excited. Then I will meet with the advisor, and financial aid people and get that all in order. Classes start on Jan 9, I think. I am going for an an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Entrereneurship. Hopefully in the long run when Alan goes to culinary school it will help us open our own restraurant! I’ll keep ya posted!

Well, today I faxed my application for admission to the school of my choice! I think the hardest thing about going back to school, is just getting the ball rolling, so I am proud of myself for doing that! Next step, take the placement test, and enroll! Oh, and apply for finiancial aid! Yikes! Classes start Jan 9!

One of my biggest regrets in life is not going to college. At the time I didn’t think I had the means or the desire, but it would have been so much easier back then. But we all make mistakes. So now I need to find the time and money to think taking some classes. I am debating doing internet classes, just because having to work full time during the day, take care of a baby, a house, and a husband who is like having another child, is a bit of a challenge. But the biggest step is just getting started, so here goes everything….
