I have finished my first novel by Darian North. The book interested me. However, it had a slow pace for a suspense novel, and the intimate scenes were excessive in number and detail. Now it is time to select my next book.
Book count: Nineteen.

I finished the last of the Hannibal Lecter novels by Thomas Harris. I found so much pleasure in reading his novels. I believe I will be disappointed when I move on to books by other authors.
Book count: Eighteen.
I might set another goal for when I have completed this one. However, I do not know to what level of reading I can commit myself: one book per week, one book every two weeks, three books per month, or another possibility. Three books per month seems most appealing now—neither too challenging nor too easy.
I am reading the last of those four novels by Thomas Harris. I also have several more suspense novels checked out.
Book count: Seventeen.
I am exploring the works of Thomas Harris. I abandoned my other novels to read The Silence of the Lambs. I have finished that and another of his novels. I am currently reading one and I have one more checked out of the library to read soon.
Book count: Sixteen.
I stopped reading novels for a few months. However, now that I have returned to this goal, I am still counting books. Of what I have recorded, I have read fourteen books. I am in the process of reading another.
Book count: Fourteen.
Since I last posted, I have added two novels to my list of read books. I have two more of mine available. Following completion of those, I will need to begin reading from the library.
Book count: Eleven.
My two most recent choices of books have both required of me two days instead of one. However, that might be good, as I do not own an unlimited supply of books. Soon I will have to find something appealing in the library. At this time, however, there continue to be some of mine remaining.
Book count: Nine.
I started and finished reading another novel yesterday, and I started and finished one more today. I enjoyed the novel I read today more than that which I read yesterday. However, both were acceptable enough to read them.
Book count: Seven.
I began reading on the twelfth of May. By the twentieth, I had read five books. I intend to continue reading. Today, I will begin another book. I hope that I will enjoy the following books as much as I enjoyed those which I have already read.
Book count: Five.
