I wish that I knew about 43 Things earlier especially since I am aiming to record how much work and time goes into getting a bachelors degree. I still do not know what I got on my finals; however, I do believe that I did good on all of them except for my calculus final (I was not properly prepared). I will be posting my grades for the semester when they come in because I feel that it is necessary to be open about my goal that I am trying to accomplish.
Now I have nothing to do for about one month until the next semester starts. I will more than likely have some fun, enjoy the holidays, and work to earn a bit more money. It seems that I couldn’t wait for the last semester to end and now I cannot wait for the next one to start.

I could not be happier that finals are coming up next week. I feel that I am mostly prepared for these finals as most of my classes have been the type of classes that build upon what is already learned. I think it is necessary to not slack off now though. This is the time when I should work my hardest, but also work effeciently. I have come up with a plan on what I need to do to succeed. All I need to do now is follow my own advice.

I am up late because there is no school today. I will still have to go to the university to work, but hey no classes! I reached a bit of burn out in this semester as I couldn’t do many of the things that I really wanted to do such as swimming, exercise, and make more friends. However as I see that there are only three more weeks left in the semester, I feel very energized and I am ready to close the semester on a high note.

I have planned my schedule for Spring of 2010 and I am ready for it to begin. I have only four classes next semester with a total of 14 credit hours:
GER 102: German 2 (4 Credit Hours)
PHY 243: University Physics 1 (5 Credit Hours)
PHY 243: University Physics Lab (Credit is included with the main class)
MTH 182: Calculus 2 (4 Credits)
The spring semester could either be the most challenging or the easiest. I will have to wait and see what happens! All I have to do now is officialy register for these classes when they become available on November 9th. Also some big news is that I will be a junior in the spring of 2010!

I am on week 9 of 16 for the semester. So far this semester has gone by pretty easily and I have not studied too much which is good and bad. However I think I just need a break from taking 18 credit hours every semester, but I am refreshed by knowing that the semester is almost over and that I will be a junior next semester.
From now on out I can take a normal load (12 to 16 credits) and graduate on time. It is going to be great. What will I do in my spare time? Oh yeah, I will probably be studying physics!!!

I cannot believe that I am already done with 37.5% of the semester. I took my second quiz in German and I took 1 out of the 3 tests in my American Government course today. This semester is going by really fast.

I have almost all of my books. I went ahead and bought them online and saved a considerable amount so far. I have saved about $170 and I am just thrilled about it. For the last two years every book I had to buy was brand new so there wasn’t much savings to be had. However, this year every book was old and I made out like a bandit. I still have two more books to buy 1 for my Into to University Life course ($30) and one for my German 1 course ($60). I will probably buy these at the university bookstore since school is coming up in about 1.5 weeks (11 days)!!!

I am pumped up for this fall to come. I am taking 5 classes for a total of 18 credit hours and I expect that 2 or 3 of these classes will be somewhat challenging. My course list is as follows:
ASC 101: Intro to University Life (1 credit)
MTH 181: Calculus 1 (4 credits)
CIS 260: Intro to Programming (4 credits)
GER 101: German 1 (5 credits)
PSC 111: American Government (4 credits)
I expect calculus and German to be the most challenging. The intro to programming might be challenging also, but I will see what happens there. I am not too sure what American Government will be like, but these types of classes are usually super duper easy for me plus it is a 100 level course. The intro to university life course is nothing more than helping kids realize that they should study and come to class it isn’t even included in my GPA; I should have taken it my freshman year, but I put it off.

I have been working on this goal for two years now. I have 49 credits completed and need 128 credits to finish. I am working on a B.S. in physics and I might choose to also work towards a minor/major in geology (not too sure about it). After this fall semester I will be 52% completed with this goal and almost 95% done with all of the general education requirements.
