decorate our house so it finally feels like 'home'

I’m so excited! I had ordered new wall art recently (a Picaso print that I lovelovelove, and some equally wonderful works by a local artist too), and finally got a chance to hang everything this past weekend. Looks FAB! Really changed the feel of those areas in our family home.

Still have a lot of blank walls to tend to, but this relatively small accomplishment kinda lit a fire under my butt, and now I’m excited to do more. It’s a real delight to decorate our space—It’s almost as if I’m “marking” the walls and making them mine. A little bit of my style, a little bit of my spirit, a little bit of my interests… just hanging there and sending out good vibes every time I pass by… LOVE IT!

Stopped in an art gallery & frame shop today, just to browse around. Was looking for some wall art. Found a few nice prints that inspired me and got a few good ideas, but I didn’t buy anything. Think I’ll keep browsing for now. The PROCESS of finding art is actually kinda fun; it’s a joy to look around and see what others have created!

We have lived in our current house for years, yet I have been so caught up in raising kids that I have never really taken the time to add the special little touches that make this house feel warm and inviting—like HOME. I’d like to add window valances, family photos, wall art, area rugs, and other decor. I know I can’t afford to do it all at once, but with small consistent baby-steps, I should be able to make a huge impact over time!
