I wasn’t as thrilled with Scarlett until I read the book Gone With the Wind and then Scarlett. She is fabulous, I love her spunk, her elegance, her determination, her grit, all the things that make her an unforgettable woman. It’s great she has the ability to fluster men, speak her mind and pursue what she wants. I think she’d be a fierce protector and definitely want her on my team.

Rhett Butler is a strong creative interesting different male that showed his heart when it came to his children and eventually to Scarlett. I enjoyed a man that went after what he wanted, let go of many fashionable/unfashionable traditions and worked at being a good son/family to his family.

Another Laurell K. Hamilton series and to me these three characters are simply great to have protecting you. Two of them are the Queen’s Guard and then Merry is the possible heir to the throne, so she is a survivor. I admire their guts, determination and intelligence. Definitely comrades in arms.
