actually learn to play my guitar

Strumming pattern eludes mein “All I Want Is You” so I will come back to that soon hopefully. I found a Don Williams song I really enjoy “Lay Down Beside Me” that has the chords G, C and D so I work with the strumming. I found chordie.com, go here to see what I’m currently following: http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/www.roughstock.com/cowpie/songs/d/don-williams/lay-down-beside-me I also went to youtube.com to see videos of others doing it on guitar, however their patterns were different and I sing slower than they do as I want to sing as I play. I’ve done it though! Mixed up the chords but it still sounded pretty good to me and I’m getting the shifting between the chords quicker. Definitely a great feeling!

D chord currently pisses my fingers off and they refuse to stretch to deal with it. I’m learning the chords so I can play “All I Want Is You” from the movie Juno. Once I have the chords down pat, I can work on strumming patterns. Fabulousness.

The guitar lies on the futon in my room currently reminding me I need to practice some more today. Fun times.

My guitar is sitting in my storage unit. I’m sure it’s growled and cursed at me various times. Especially after having sat in my apartment forever unused. I even have the Esteban video tapes in my room. I just haven’t opened them up or the guitar to really try it out yet. I must do this by Christmas…I hope to anyhow.

As a side-note, the bonsai truly died. I forget when but it did die of ….well lack of everything except for sun. I got the sun part but forgot the water…and..shade…and…water.. I will try another plant but more centrally located next time. I may take a long break from bonsais until I feel..I am more…on the ball about them!

muttering “Damn you.” Yes my overactive imagination is working right now. Doesn’t helpt that my niece pointed out that’s what my almost petrified bonsai plant is saying too. I petrified one a long time ago and am working now on reviving the one my mom bought me for Christmas. I forgot to water it for like..a month or two. I brought it in out of the cold tonight. Sometimes I feel like I’m just slow. That might become a goal on here come to think of it….

“my guitar lies bleeding in my arms” =Bon Jovi…hmph. My guitar lies in its’ guitar case unused….

Maybe what I should start doing when I can’t sleep is watch and play my guitar! I’m sure it’s dying to come out of the case and breathe fresh air. Of course me giving personification to a guitar is…kind of freaky in itself but what the hey… ;)

I had begged my mom to get me a guitar for ages. So she gave me one for Christmas. It has tapes and everything. But have I gotten the tapes out? No. Have I even gotten the guitar out of the case? No. Have I done anything with it other then see it in my living room on several occasions? No.
I sometimes feel like going up to people and saying “Hi, I’m a procrastinator. Nice to meet you.” Sheesh.
