Is nailbiting going to cause my immediate death? I think not.
However, I definitely recognize over the past couple of months, this hasn’t been as huge a problem in my life. Since I have so many other things to focus on, I feel this one is sufficiently accomplished for now. I will continue working on it and continue to enjoy nails rather than gnawed fingers.
Woo-hoo, go me.

if was my rash…impromptu purchase of skin stuff at the mall that was like $200 which I severely regretted or if it was just a bad day for my nails, I started to gnaw on my cuticles and tore them a bit. I also tried trimming my nails a bit with my teeth and did them far shorter than I had planned. Always use your nail clippers or you fall into bad habits….sadly. Will be working to get them nice and pretty again this week…it’s been a month since I had this happen…so just try again now.

I’ve trimmed my ripped cuticles, but amazingly, since I haven’t been biting them, I haven’t had as many.
Very cool.
Seems pretty weird that I actually have something that can scratch backs and surfaces with. I’m so used to having nubs. They’re still kind of flimsy, but I’m working on getting them hard, and healthier. May treat myself to a manicure and show my nice nails off to the men who had picked on them before….

I’ve got my real nails now, I pried off the fake tips a couple nights ago. So far, I’ve just had my real nails, and I painted them a glittery coat. I tap them against my lips sometimes but so far, haven’t bitten them. Only bit a cuticle, that was tearing. Foreseeable bad thing of having nails, they tear off. Without me biting them. I bought some nail-growing strengthening stuff and will continue to use that hoping to stop them from tearing as much.
Definitely progress!

I haven’t bitten my nails. I still have my fake tips on them and I can see them growing. Occasionally I feel the urge to chew but it tends to be fleeting. I like not feeling pain from chewing the skin and nail off.
Definitely some benefits besides my fingers looking nice to not biting my nails.

Boo hiss. I can look at my nails and see them growing. Which is great of course, to see that I am making progress somewhat.
However…the urge is strong just as the force was strong (Luke, I am your father! noooooo!) Couldn’t resist ;)
I want to bite them and I could, but it’d hurt me badly. I think I have to go get fill-ins soon or all my resistance will be futile….(thank you to the Borgs for that one).
Apparently, my science fiction time is here between Star Wars and Star Trek. Who ever knew they had some tie in with stopping biting nails? I say “Jean Luc, not me….”

and they’re the kind you get at a nail place, so they’re well stuck on and all that jazz. They look pretty and I love to click them or just lightly scratch something. They’re short enough too, that I don’t need to clip them or do anything but enjoy them.
I figure if they grow fast, I’ll just go back for fill-in’s until I’ve got this goal done.
It’s strange how something as little as new nails can be such a big pick-up and attitude changer.

I took off the fake nails and have been back to biting my nails.
Today was especially horrid as I went to see School for Scoundrels and gnawed flesh and nail off. Ewww. Yet, I can’t seem to stop…
Unhealthy addiction…
I fell down the steps, my ankle gave way, so now I am worrying about that, school with the rumors flying and hoping that all will end well…

I have had 2 sets of fake nails on recently, and didn’t pick them off till they snapped on their own. So I’m moving, and not putting more nails on yet. My real nails are out and so far…haven’t bitten them. I’ve only trimmed a cuticle if its starting to run ragged. Maybe I can check this off this year!

that I’m more aware of my nails now that I have fake ones. Only bad side is when I got the newer ones put on, as I’d pried part of old ones off-the guy doing it almost took off part of my real nail. OUCH. I love to click my nails when I’m relaxing just as I never could before. Now to see if I can not bite my real ones when they’re revealed to the world again….
