The last play I actually acted in was in Middle School. I played Juliet. I enjoyed being on state, having all eyes on me, and the comradery I had with the other actors and stage crew. Granted, I was a pre-teen and I may be romanticizing the experience in my mind. I know it was hard work going to rehearsals, memorizing my lines and blocking. But, it was fun to me.
I’m not a deep thespian. I know I’m not that good – I’m a pretty transparent person. But, I would enjoy and appreciate being on stage one more time. This will be something, I assume, that will be placed on hold for several years. I have two small children, and my husband and I are trying for a third. I’m a stay-at-home mother and can’t participate in rehearsals at this point in my life. So, this will remain unfinished until I feel comfortable in pursuing it. Perhaps when my children are in school.
