go skydiving

i had a chat with my best friend yesterday, and told her about my desire to skydive. her opinion of it, in regards to me, was that she thought it would give me the courage to take a metaphorical leap in other areas of my life.

so now, the idea of skydiving is even more exciting.

cost of a tandem jump in my area. yes; a tandem jump – i’m not insane, i want to be strapped to another human body. if we die, we die together ;)

it’s funny; even though i’m plagued with anxieties, the thought of skydiving doesn’t scare me in the slightest. moreover, i think it’ll be therapeutic: falling from the sky, helpless, having that sudden clarity of your mortality – and then it’s over, you’re on the ground, and by all rights you should be dead but your not. you’re fine, in fact, you’re great!

now, i’ve never been shrunk, but i’m betting that having this experience could easily replace 20 years on a therapist’s couch.
