New Homemade Toners and Scrub! 4 months ago

I’ve added 2 homemade toners and a scrub to my regimine:
-Green Tea (w/olive oil for moisturizing benefits) Toner
-Apple Cider Vinegar & Green Tea Toner (w/ olive oil for moisturizing benefits)

I’ve also added a Green Tea and Sugar Scrub. I used the Scrub and the Green Tea Toner last night and my skin feels firmer, softer, and smoother.

For the recipes (& others) go to www.youtube.com/bubzbeauty or www.bubzbeaty.com. I love this girl! Her stuff is soo good and she had bad acne when she was younger too! I’m starting to see a difference in my skin with her homemade beauty concoctions!

Getting Clearer! And Using a New Method! 4 months ago

I’ve still been using the honey mask on an almost daily basis and my face is getting clearer and clearer! I’ve also started using a fade cream for my dark spots. The problem is that is smells really bad and it makes my eyes tear up from the smell. :( I’ll most likely switch to another fade cream that smells better. Maybe Ambi’s Fade Cream for sensitive skin. (Btw, has anyone tried it? How’d it work for you?)

I’ve also heard of and have been trying out a new cleansing method. Washing twice. I use a pea sized amount of my face wash to wash the first time. You’ll notice that you don’t see a lot of foaming. That’s because you’re just washing off the dirt and oil. Rinse off the face wash and then washing your face again with the same amount of cleanser. You’ll notice that there will be a lot more foaming and bubbles. That is because the first wash took off the dirt and oil and the second can now actually cleanse the skin. I also leave the second wash on and then go and brush my teeth to let my face wash do what it’s supposed to and then rinse it off. I do this in the morning and at night.

My Regimine

Morning
-Continuously Clear Face Wash
-Continuously Clear Repairz It

Night
-Continuously Clear Face Wash
-(most nights) Honey Mask
-Continuously Clear Clearz It
-Fade Cream

So far so good 5 months ago

I’ve been using my honey mask for the past couple of weeks or so and so far so good. Many of my whiteheads have gone away and my dark spots have faded a bit!

This makes me happy. Hopefully I can have clear skin by my senior year! :)

Soap Diet DROPPED 5 months ago

I’ve stopped my soap diet because I’ve started to break out. I know it’s probably not because of the soap but actually, the ginger ale (turns out I can’t drink ANYTHING carbonated which sucks cause I love ginger ale)I had been drinking lately and probably my once a month break out.

So I decided to drop my mild soap diet and go back to my regular skin care regimine to restore my skin to its practically clear state. Just a few little whiteheads on my forehead left!

I’ve also decided to use my honey mask every day for at least a week to try to clear my skin faster. I just rinsed it off after leaving it on for a half hour. So far so good.

In the Mist of Changing...&& Simplest Might Be the Best 6 months ago

I practically have no more of my acne products at the moment. I’ve used the bottles til the last drop. And they work great! My acne has significantly disappeared. But the problem is that I have no more right now and my mom has to order it again (&& I’m hoping that it’s not sold out!)

But I have recently watched old commercials from the 50s and 60s. A product I kept constantly watching commercials for a product called Camay Soap.

In the 50s and 60s, Camay introduced women to the Mild-Soap diet through radio and commercials. This “diet” instructed women to wash their faces with the Camay soap and only that soap could touch your skin. After washing, rinse with warm water and then splash your face with cold water for about 30 seconds. Women were to do this in the morning and evening everyday for 30 days. They found themselves with younger looking, glowing, smoother, and softer skin.

This “back-to-basics” method highly intrigued me, and I wanted to really try it. && I’ve always been told that simplest is usually the best!

I decided to use the Soap Diet but with a different brand of soap: Trader Joe’s Next to Godliness Oatmeal and Honey Soap. It is a pure vegetable soap with honey (which naturally helps acne & I already use as a facial mask), oatmeal flakes (also naturally helps acne), and gylcerin(helps acne by promoting cell turnover and puts moisture into the skin). It also smells great is very cheap(you get 2 bars in a pack!). I and my parents have been using this soap for our bodies for the past 3 years or so and love it! It is most likely the reason why I don’t have any acne on my back or chest anymore.

This soap also helped heal and mositurize my sister and her family’s skin when their skin started getting sunburnt and damaged while on vacation to Walt Disney World. My soap had gotten significantly smaller while we were there and that’s when I had discovered they had been using it and they noticed a big difference in their skin as well.

So I have been using the Soap Diet with my own soap for the past 2 days and I have noticed a significant difference in my skin. It is smoother, softer, and glows! The soap puts more mositure into my skin than my acne products do. However, since I have very dry skin, I also use a pea sized amount of Trader Joe’s A Midsummer Night’s Cream Mositurizing Cream (which I’ve always used for moisturizing my body and my face with no breakouts, even with the extra dry formula).

Bottom line: My skin is even better looking than when I used my acne products and I’m starting to believe that simplest might be the best.

8 months since my last post... 12 months ago

Wow. I haven’t been on here in a long time…

-I never went back to the dermatologist and my acne’s been…ok.
-I changed my skin regimen a little bit and my face is a lot better.
-I’ve realized that my acne gets worse the week before my period.
-And because of my hormonal pimples, they left dark spots.

My Skin Care RegimenMorning
-Continuously Clear Daily Face Wash
-Continuously Clear Repairz-It
-Skin Whitening Cream

Night
-Continuosly Clear Daily Face Wash
-Continuously Clear Clearz-It
-Skin Whitening Cream

Once a week
-Honey Mask

baby, you taste like honey 20 months ago

Ok, now I’m offically all out of Doxycycline. I’ll make an appointment for the Dermatologist for Friday. I did start getting a few little bumps lately but I used honey last night. I looks like it cleared it all up but I’ll have to check later today. Either way, my face is still amazing!

To do list
Go to Dermatologist
Buy more honey

My Advice to Other People
-Go to a Dermatologist if you haven’t already
-Using honey on your face really works!
-Exfoliate!
-Moisturize!
-Always wash your face at night
-Keep hair out of your face as much as possible
-That pimple that’s trying to pop up isn’t as bad as you think. Seriously. I’ve had friends who freak out over a pimple or two and then they’ll point to it on their face and I literally have to 2 inches from their face to see it. it really isn’t that bad.

Back to the doctor's in a couple of weeks 21 months ago

My refills on Doxycycline have run out. I have a little more than a week left. I need to make an appointment to get more and for the Dermatologist to see how AWESOME my face has been doing.

My goal is to have clear skin by May 15th, my 16th birthday

My Regimen:
Mouring-
Continuously Clear Face Wash
Continuously Clear Repairz It

Night-
Continuously Clear Body Wash
Retin-A

Oral Supplements-
Doxycycline, Fish Oil, Baby Asprin, Multivitamin

Once a Week-
Honey Mask

it's sooo much better! 22 months ago

I have practically no pimples on my face! It’s so smooth now! I haven’t felt this good about my face since…. forever! I need to go pick up my refill on my Doxycycline cause I have none left and haven’t been able to pick it up yet. I used my honey mask tonight so that might help me until I get it. Now my problem is getting rid of the dark spots (especially on my cheeks) but I’m using a fading cream for that. I need to make an appointment with my dermatologist in March.

My Regimen:
Mourning-
- Continuously Clear Face Wash
- Continuously Clear Repairz it

Night-
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Retin-A
- Fade Cream

Oral Supplements-
Doxycycline, Fish Oil, Multivitamin, Baby Asprin

1+ a week-
Honey Mask

In order for me to consider this goal complete, I need to keep my skin clear until my dermatologist visit (March) and then hopefully up to my birthday (May 15th) and longer and then onto my next goal: “have beautiful skin”. But as of right now, I’m really happy. :)

my skin 22 months ago

LOOKS A HELL OF A LOT BETTER!!!

My skin isn’t so dry anymore
-I’ve started exfoliating my face with a super soft hand towel twice a week.
-And by accident (& laziness) I found when I can’t (or don’t want to) wash my face at night, I wipe my face with alcohol & then put on my retin-a and my face isn’t super dry like before!

Now my face has a few little bumps in random areas, some darker spots & blackheads around my nose. ugh. I’ll try using pore strips on those areas. My dermatologist said to come back in April (it’s January 5th). Hopefully, I can be done with this goal soon.
