If i would be more diligent about taking out the trash and recycleing on the pick up days, greenlife would be much smoother. Maybe other people seeing my recycling out there will encourage them to do the same thing?

I think so far it’s so good:

So I don’t own a car. I live close enough that i can walk to work but often get rides from friends.

I set up a fine recycling area in my laundry room. I have a large open basket for each type of recycling product (we have to self sort here in Boise) and sometimes i even take the stuff out tot he curb.

I am buying Seventh Generation paper products for the home.

I am slowly switching to all eco safe cleaning products (Seventh Generation right now but still testing stuff out). I still have my beloved Pine Sol in the house but haven’t been using it. I am finding all sorts of wonderous things that baking soda can do.

I am slowly lessening my use of paper towel and switching to using washable tea towels and kitchen towels.

I am using my ‘pack it in – pack it out’ mentality at work. We have only can recycleing at work so i carry home anything that i have that can be recycled otherwise.

I am the self appointed battery recycler at work.

While on vacation I taught my brothers where to find the symbol for ‘recyclable’ on their plastic products.

I encourage my friends and co workers to do the same types of things… maybe so often that it bothers them, but that’s okay with me :)
