I re-recorded the first 35 seconds of a song I wrote a long, long time ago. The song constantly changes because my mood is constantly changing… so every time I play it, it has a different tempo, different chorus, different intro, etc.
If anyone would like to hear, message me. :)

I finally finished recording Rescued today. I learned the entire song this time, so there isn’t any improv except for the very last chord.
If anyone wants to hear, just let me know and I’ll send it to you! :)

So, it’s up and running.
Konstantine is done and I have the mp3 ready to go. If any of you wants to hear, just comment or message me and I will certainly send it. :)
I think tonight I’ll record a couple songs, and maybe tomorrow or some other time this week I’ll record my song (Hey Aimee).
I’m pretty excited…

I actually have good news this time, not just a “promise for the future”.
Last night I told Intothebreach that I was going to “try something,” involving letting other people on 43T hear me play. Unfortunately I never got to it last night because I was so exhausted, but it was on my mind first thing in the morning.
My brother helped me figure out how to work the file transfer feature on my digital piano. And with the flash drive Gladys gave me for my birthday, we were able to put a recording of Konstantine onto my computer… Which was the most amazing thing… hearing my recording through the speakers of my computer.
It’s POSSIBLE now. Matt said he’d format the files to MP3s so that I could play them through itunes. But only after I had decent recordings of more than one song (even though the song is uber lengthy).
I’m listening to a new recording as I type this. But it has mistakes because I was so excited. For the rest of the day I think I’ll practice and record and practice and record until I get this right. And then I’ll convince my brother to help me load it on the flash drive again and convert the file.
It won’t be the full song (Konstantine) because I’m not done yet. But I’ve promised a couple people on here that they’ll hear me play, and I’m tired of all of the Maybe’s.

I have been bothering my brother about recording me. Yesterday while I was helping him with something for his business I asked him again. He told me all he needed to do was find a missing part of his software, and we’ll be good to go.
Ahh patience Mindy, patience…

I need to record myself. And then upload my mp3s to sendspace or megaupload. And send them to special people.

when Travis came over… right before he was about to leave, I was playing a couple songs. Earlier we had been talking about guitar, and how I’ve been focusing all my attention on piano, and have kind of been putting my guitar playing on hold.
I played the one I wrote the night I missed him a lot (not telling him the inspiration behind it, of course).
And the words that came out of his mouth… “You have gotten better at piano.”

One of my best friends came over not too long ago and asked me to play Rescued for her. She knew I had worked on it for some time.
But now I know two versions, and one is shorter than the other (I made it that way). I asked her if she wanted to hear the long version, or the short version.
“The short version,” she said.

And every time I play the chorus it spreads throughout my hand and into my wrist.
But I want to play this song for you so bad. It’s not even finished yet. I just know that it says everything I’m feeling, without pronouncing a single word.

I’m feeling like I need someone to listen to me.
Now.
