Get a tattoo

are going to check out a tattoo shop (or maybe more than one) this Thursday and get some info about the shop and designs. Also, it`s likely that I will have a job again in the beginning of November (although it`s not completely sure yet), which means I can get my tattoo soon. I`m planning to pay for it with my first paycheck from this job :).

Side note: just talked to my mom on the phone. Like I said before: she doesn`t like tattoos. But I really want to keep her up-to-date on this a little bit, because I share almost everything else with her, so it feels bad not to talk about this. She actually reacted quite differently than I expected. I mean, I could hear in her voice that she doesn`t like it, but she seems to have accepted the idea that I`m going to get in anyway. Seems like progress. She also seemed to like the idea of my friend and I getting it together. That`s nice, because I feel quite strongly about getting it, and going through the process of getting it, with her.

home from my brother. We talked for a bit, about work and stuff, since I`ll be without a job in a about three weeks. And then I told him about my tattoo. He pretended to be really shocked, and he was a bit, but most of it was an act and I could tell immediately that he didn`t disapprove. He told me him and my other brother (yeah, I`m blessed with two of `em :D) had been talking about getting one for years, but had never gone through with it. I sort of knew that! So I told him my idea and he really liked it. He said it was probably a good thing that I can`t get it soon (because of the money), because this way I can work a bit more on the design. The way we started talking about it was because I said it sucked that I can`t spend any money now, so I guess that`s why he said it. He also told me that I have his blessing. Now I need to tell my other brother, will probably do that next time we call. I don`t foresee any problems now :D.

drawing up some stuff. Started designing it. But I`m not ready to this at all because my designs keep changing and now I`m back at the most simple one. One breakthrough though: I do want some lines between the stars. My dilemma: on the one hand I want a clear regcognizable Casseopeia, on the other hand I want lots of colours. Looking at other tattoos is inspiring, but also makes me want about 10 designs in one tattoo. Post some pics sometime, not now (very late here).

Progress: told my group of friends I`m getting a tattoo. Nobody expected that I wanted that, blablabla. Their reactions were nice though. Told my dad as well. Telling my mom is on my to-do-list. I did really tell her this once already, but I`m 100% she either forgot or thought I`d change my mind.

looking at star tattoos to see which stars I like. Actually thought of something new. I still want Casseopeia, as a really simple tattoo, but perhaps, if I like it and I`m not afraid to go back, I can add stuff to it to make it prettier. I`m adding an image of Casseopeia. I just want the stars, not the stripes in between, and I`m not sure about how I want it. I definetely don`t want it like it`s in the picture, I think I`d like it more towards the W it makes, but I don`t want to turned 90 degrees (I think I want it turned about 45 degrees towards the W, which is…to the right). Oh and the stars will be black ;-).

I didn`t really tell all of my friends about this. Was just talking to one of my friends online, she knew nothing about this! Oops. Well, I informed her and she thought it was very cool, even though she would never do it herself.

know the cost of this. While in a tattoo/piercing shop to ask about getting my ears re-pierced, I decided to ask about how much my intended tattoo would cost. Turns out to be somewhere between 100 to 150 euros, which isn`t too bad. I would like to get it asap, but since I`m not sure if I have a job after the end of August, I think it is not wise to spend 150 euros on a tattoo. A weekend away would be a better way to spend it, or of course not spend it at all.

This is probably not going to happen any time soon, but eventually I`ll get this done. I want a tattoo, probably somewhere on my lower back. It`s going to be the constellation Casseopeia, which is made up of 5 major stars. Those stars will stand for my mom, my dad, my two brothers and me.
