My friend may not go, she doesn`t know yet, but my brother may want to go! He`s the one I borrow my Star Trek Voyager and Battlestar Galactica dvd`s from. I didn`t think he`d like it, but one day I was watching a soccer match at his place (during Euro 2008) and I mentioned it and he reacted…differently than I expected. So I asked him if he might wanna come as well and he does haha. He hasn`t said yes yet, but he seems excited, constantly asking me when the dates were again, followed by some questions about practical details.

I thought of this one a few days ago while youtubing. I`ll try to describe what happened. When I was younger, about 14, I always watched Star Trek and a whole bunch of other tv series. There were conventions, I knew that, but it was never possible for me to go, because these things were never in the Netherlands (and when they were, I did not know about it…). So a few days ago, I suddenly realized: I`m not 14 anymore. I can actually get to London or Bonn if I want to. I can save up the money. I can get there by train if I have to.
It`s weird, because usually I just do these things, but with this one, I was still in my 14-year-old state of mind I guess.
So I sent a text message to a friend, fully expecting her to say she didn`t want to go, because I thought she was sort of over Star Trek, but turns out SHE`s NOT! She liked the idea!
Perhaps I`m still not going, but I`m gonna try and find out how much money it is all gonna cost. It`s in May 2009 so I have a little time to do my research hehe.
Oh and friend, you know who you are ;-).
