I’ve realised that listening to uplifting or inspiring music really makes me positive, and lifts my soul.
I have been listening to Nina Simone a lot, particulaly “Feeling Good”.
Favourite bit:
”
Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don’t you know,
Butterflies all havin’ fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when day is done
That’s what I mean
“
Also I like “The Fray – How To Save A Life” at the moment, as it is very soulful and uplifts me, which is bizarre because musically it is in theory downbeat, but hey, I can’t explain it, lol :o)
So I’d recommend using music to uplift or inspire people. You know when you’ve found the right music or song when you find yourself unable to control the will to dance.
I danced in the kitchen the other day like a complete maniac… yeah baby! ;o)

I am not so positive today. I’ve had a very tough couple of years being let down by a lot of friends.
I have had another set back, but I will try not to take it personally.
I find it hard to be positive with so many selfish and abusive people around.
To try and force myself to be positive, I can keep saying what I always say “There are good people out there somewhere”.
Every time I say this to myself, I get let down again. Being positive can set up too high expectations that then don’t happen and we can feel let down.
Is it best to have low expectations of people, and if something goes right then it’s a bonus? Maybe this is a more plausible approach to positivity with realism.
I wish I could find genuine human beings with compassion and thoughtfulness. I know you’re out there, stop hiding lol.
