I talked to a friend in distress today that was thinking about ending it all. They suffer from OCD and it is very debilitating. I have researched this condition many times in order that I can greater understand their suffering.
I may not be able to help fix their OCD, but I can certainly be there for them. I said to them “I really feel for you”, and they said that was very kind.
Sometimes when things are beyond our cognition or abilities, we can just be there for someone, and this is very powerful in itself.
I am hopefully meeting up with them tomorrow, if I fix my nocturnal sleeping patterns (I need help with that).
