I recently moved back home after spending a year at an out-of-state college, only to find I no longer have anything in common with my friends here. They haven’t moved past high school; they still want to go out to Perkin’s and talk about boys and new movies and celebrities, while I’m thinking about grad school and current events and training for ski season. They get together to sit around the TV for hours; I want friends who will go hiking with me or go to museums or, well, anything besides sitting in front of the boob tube. Trouble is, I have no idea how to find people like that, but I’m trying.
