Two E’s and a U.

How shit.

*gives up on goal*

I have to figure out what I’m going to do now, I guess I’ll have to get a full time job or something…

Results day tomorrow...  — 2 weeks ago

God, I’m dreading it… I’m pretty sure the outcome is not going to be good :(

My AS exams  — 2 months ago

finished a few weeks ago now. I have mixed feelings about them to be honest… I know I haven’t done well, not nearly as well as I could have.

As it has been said by many a teacher in my time, I have the intelligence but lack the motivation to achieve. Not quite sure how they figured that out though, because surely intelligence is something that cannot really be proved without motivation?

Anyhow, as long as I’ve passed, that’s all that matters right now.

There is another issue however, and that is regarding my attendance at college. Apparently mine is 52% (which I think is bollocks because frankly, I know I’ve missed a lot but they’re basically saying that I’ve taken half of every week off, which I definitely have not!), and their policy is that it has to be over 80%. Well, they know about my problems, and because of that me and my mother have to go along to a meeting tomorrow with my tutor to review my situation, and whether or not staying on at college next year is “the right decision for me”. Hmm should be fun :/

I hope they don’t kick me out. I need something to structure my life. I need something to help me find a way through the dark mysterious fog that is my future…

If they let me stay, I promise I’ll study harder… like the girl in the picture lol *angelic grin* :)

Today  — 5 months ago

we had an assessed practical in Chemistry… that I knew nothing about until about an hour and a half before we had to do it! It will eventually go towards my final AS grade, so obviously I was stressing out!

In the end, I actually found it quite easy, even though I’d never done that exact experiment before. It was more or less a simple titration, for which we had to measure the temperature of the solution at regular intervals and subsequently find the enthalpy change of neutralisation. I managed to get all my graphs done, but ran out of time to do the calculations and write the interpretation of my results, so I’ll have to do those next lesson (which is good because it will give me a bit of extra time to revise!)

We also have to write a plan for another experiment, which will also be assessed although thankfully as I was absent yesterday I get more time to revise for that too! Yay :)

So, after this morning’s initial panic… everything turned out ok in the end!
I think…
