This weekend we put in the poles to hold up the lights there 15 feet tall, cleaned the house a little and started making the bases for the soups.

have everything ordered. Yea. I just ordered the sky lanterns. I was afraid I would back out and not get them but I decided to splurge because I’ve been doing pretty good on the budget and after all I’m only doing this once. You can see a video of them here

I haven’t made any progress really other than finding my shoes and shirts and ties for the guys. Some of my favorite cousins said they weren’t going to be able to make it so that was a bummer. It just doesn’t feel like it’s so soon.

We are not ready. We have just started getting RSVP’s which is fine there is still 20 days left for that. I just am haveing doubts if we can get it all decorated and everything how I want it. I need about $1,000 more and time for delivery on some of the things. I’m hoping that when I meet with the florist I can drastically cut back the cost and help save some $. I’m glad we are not going into debt for the wedding but it would be a hell of a lot easier.

One good thing is the leaf shaped crackers I’m making for all of the soups are turning out well. They are so cute!

until our wedding. I am not ready. I need to get everything ordered and make the “to do” lists for everyone for the day before and day of the wedding. I just did not expect it to sneak up on me like this.

the guys found their suits, too bad the went over budget by $75 and they didn’t even get their shirts and ties yet. But whatcha gonna do. It happens plus the’ll be wearing the suits for a long time so it’s more of an investment than a purchase for 1 day. I’ve got to remember to send Amanda a thank you card. She drug them all over Denver to find the proper suits & got a ticket.

Also, Michaels brother the Best Man helped me stuff a lot of invitations yesterday I’d guess they are about 85% are ready to go.

So after nearly 7 years of being a red head I decided for the wedding to go back to my natural color which is light blond. My aunt is a hair dresser and has dyed my hair before. So I went to her to change it. We started around 4 yesterday and finished around 9:30. My hair was 5 different colors. Unfortunately it is still not the right color so in about another month she is going to work on it again. Boo :(

was delivered yesterday. I was all excited until I opened the package, then it was just “anti-climatic”—it was the dress I ordered just like I had seen it in pix for the past year almost.

and some times I feel pretty good about it and other days I think what the hell am I doing. I would feel better if I knew we would have all of the money. I was shooting for a $2,000 wedding but it’s around 3,500 and I have been bargain shopping and doing everything I can think of to save money cut it to bare bones, while still keeping it my “definition” of a wedding. I almost have all of the invites addressed (we also decided on the wording today)and we have everything picked out now I just have to pay for them.

I just found out today that one of my good friends from a few years ago is getting married the week after us, I am so happy for him.
