I’m back on the weight loss bandwagon. I’ve lost 15.7 lbs so far, I’m hoping to lose the rest by the end of the semester. I’m currently on an intense workout regimen, so I’m hoping that’ll help shed some lbs.



Calorie Tracking 21 months ago

I’ve been counting calories for a week, and I think this might actually work. I’m more aware of what and when I’m eating. Also, when I document how many calories I burn at the gym, it makes me feel like I’m actually doing something.

My weight has been rollercoastering lately. So I decided I’m going to start counting calories. I made an account on fitday.com to track my calorie intake and the amount of exercise I do per day. I’m hoping this helps.



new year, new semester, new diet? 22 months ago

I did keep up with the “no sweets” fast in December. Of course I was doing well and everything, then came home for break and ate continuously. I really want to tone up this semester. I want to be able to prance around in a bikini this summer and think nothing of it. I’m thinking about going on the DETOX DIET to kick off my semester, then move on to another diet that isn’t as extreme. Let’s see where this goes.

I swore off ice cream and candy for the rest of the semester because my eating habits are out of control. Hopefully I won’t slip up on this one. 16 days to go…



Losing... 2 years ago

Well I don’t have a scale here at school, so I can’t weigh myself..and I’m half afraid to anyway. HOWEVER, my roommate said that my thighs are looking slimmer and my calves are more cut. I think I went down a bra size [from a 34DD to a 34D, yeah, my boobs are disgustingly huge, but I’m very tall, so it doesn’t look too awkward]. And today I noticed that I fit into shirts that are a size smaller than I usually wear. My jeans are also looser on me. I’m hoping to get down to a size 10. Well, I’ve been at a 12 for a while, so obviously I don’t have far to go. I think the smallest I could possibly be is an 8, but I’m not sure if I would look too thin. It’s weird most people want to be 2’s or 4’s and I want to be an 8 or 10 because I’m so tall. Well, I’m just happy that I’m finally seeing results…and other people are too. Maybe when I’m home over Thanksgiving I’ll step on the scale. I haven’t decided yet.

So I’ve been working on this goal since the beginning of summer, but I didn’t start taking it very seriously until I got back to school in September. I’m starting to notice little differences. I’m strong than I used to be, my jeans fit looser, I have more energy, and my legs are very muscular. My huge issue is my stomach. I just really want a flat stomach..and I’m starting to lose momentum as far as my exercise program goes. It’s starting to get boring and tedious. I really need some motivation. Visualizing myself prancing around in a bikini with a flat stomach doesn’t cut it anymore. I’ve also been cheating on my diet a little more than I should be. I just want to see some decent results by Christmas.

So, Kate’s been acting as my “trainer” for the past week. She’s been showing me different techniques and exercises. She said cardio and free weights are they best way to lose weight and get toned. I’ve been doing at least 20 minutes of cardio every day since I’ve been here, but I’ve never done free weight exercises [excluding arm exercises with 3 lbs weights]. I’m hoping to see a major difference by Christmas break. I’ve been doing pretty well with my “dieting”. I eat three times a day. And I usually say no to temptations. So we’ll see what happens.



Back at school. 2 years ago

I’ve been at school for 3 weeks now. My roommate and I have been getting up early every morning to go to the gym before class. I also have more control over what I eat, since I don’t have a food readily available to me like I did at home. I didn’t reach my goal before school started as I wanted, but I’m hoping to see some results by Christmas break.

Well I haven’t written in here for a while, but I’ve been keeping strong with my workouts. I bought two DVDs that work really well [in my opinion]:
1.) 10 Minute Solutions: Rapid Results Pilates
2.) SHAPE: Bikini Body Camp

I think I’m starting to slim down a bit. I have yet to weigh myself though. I might just weigh myself right before I go back to school to see what my total weight loss for the summer is. I haven’t decided yet though.
