i also just discovered that i have, in fact, been eating octopus all this time in chile, and i didn’t know it becuase i didn’t know what “pulpo” meant.
(i don’t like it all that much.)

i was in peru and passed up the opportunity to eat guinea pig.
it wasn’t that i was scared of it. it just didn’t look appetizing.
sigh.
there is a peruvian restaurant near me in chile, though, if i should decide to stop sucking.
seriously, just a few months ago i was a 24-year-old who had never even eaten deer. absurd, i feel. i’m making slow progress on this goal, but there is a peruvian place near me that promises guinea pig, so i’ll have to update. to date i’ve eaten (listed by animal):
chicken
pig
cow
turkey
duck
lamb
llama
rabbit
all your normal types of fish, shellfish, and other seafood, but nothing cool like octopus or shark… the coolest thing i’ve eaten from the ocean is eel.
... and that’s it. no deer, no snake, no alligator. but i want to, dammit. so it’s on the list. updates to follow.
