Learn to play the guitar

I have a guitar and I started learning how to play about a year ago through a youth pastor in my church that wanted to start a worship group. Out of those six weeks, I only learned 1 song and 2 chords. And then the guy that taught me moved to Alaska. I used to blame my inability to play on not having the right guitar pick, but isn’t that just silly? So I’m determined to start again. I need to buy myself a book and maybe get a teacher. My best friend is an amazing guitarist, so I’m sure he could help me out.
