adopt a child

Okay, so i definitly want to adopt a child someday when i grow up thats for sure, but i’m so confused on the timing part. The way i was planning it before was that as soon as i finished college i would adopt, just as i was settling into my career, when i’m not married. But i was just thinking, what woud people think of me being a single mother? No offense to any out there, but a single mother isn’t always so highly looked apon by some heartless members of society. I know i shouldn’t be concerned with what other people think, but i still am. Uggg…i don’t even know why i’m so worried. I shouldn’t be.

For many reason.
1. I’m 13 years old and i dont think its legal
2. I’m not even gonna ask my parents if we can adopt

Yeah. Those are pretty good reasons if i do say so myself. My parents have enough on their hands with me and my 9-year old brother as it is, but with a baby…no way. And i can’t see my mom toting a baby on her hip to my brothers hockey practice and vacuuming the house. My parents have more then enough on their minds. And i want it to be MY baby.

Even though, at the age of 13, i have already had my period, and know i will be able to have biologial kids some day, i still want to adopt. I dont think of it as a “second option”. Because it isn’t. I was watching this show on MTV yesterday and it was about fighting poverty in Africa and it tugged many serious heart-strings, which launched my desire to adopt.

Cant wait until i’m old enough!
