I am having the hardest trouble with vowels. I know the basic concept but it’s horrible trying to remember when to use I am or I have. I’m learning but I think I’m going to try getting a french textbook or even a computer program. I want something to use that will help me out. Even though I’ll probably only be in France for a day this is the language I’ve chosen to learn!!!

I found a few websites that help to teach french—For FREE!!!! I went over the websites yesterday and have learned my alphabet. I’m going to work slowly on it each day and hopefully by May I’ll be fluent, or at least I’ll know enough that I can hold conversations.
I set this goal up because I plan to travel to France at the end of Spring of 2007. I know that I can go over to their country and speak English but I would really like to be able to explore the non-touristy places and speak with the french people. I really need to find an inexpensive and easy way to learn french. Any suggestions?
