join a book club

Somehow I had psyched myself up so much for the book club then i did not even go. I stayed at home and sulked :( Maybe next year.

The book club that I’ve joined has a meeting this Thursday, the 16th from 12pm to 1:30pm. I’m so excited and so nervous. I read the book, Cotton Queen, and it was really good. I was really suprised by how much I enjoyed it. I’ll get to go this week and experience my first real joining experience since leaving high school. I’ll write more after I get back that day :)

I was looking at different book clubs in the area and the only thing I could find was one at the Bedford Public Library. They meet on the third Thursday once a month and I’m going to give it a try. I found the book of the month for November and have already ordered it. I hope that this will be a great place to meet people who enjoy reading. I wish that this would be more of a classic novel book club so that I could kill two birds with one stone (joining a book club and reading the top 100 Observer Must Read books). I guess I’ll have my book club reading and my fun reading.
