learn to play the theremin

Well, i’ve been recruited to play a piece on theremin by one of my friends from the conservatory. It’s a piece for cello, violin, and theremin, and i have a lot of codettas. that makes it easier because i don’t have to bother with timing. it’s a cool piece.

well, i can now play dreaming of a white christmas on my theremin. it’s a little tricky to do without changing keys, because the first bit is chromatic. half steps. but i can play it consistantly! i think i’m getting pretty good at this

i got a theremin for my birthday! i picked it up pretty fast, but am by no means a virtuoso. yet. i’ve written a song with theremin lead, my band’s manager says it sounds like a screaming witch.i’m not sure if it’s a good or bad thing. maybe i should build the CV output board shown in the instructions so i can control my synth.
