grow my hair out and style it like the Bride of Frankenstein

Let’s hear it for Frankenstein.

So today I am going to let my hair dry naturally and allow it to “Frankenstein” into a glorious bouffant hair do. The humidity is 70 percent. This is going to be fun.

I should be fully “Frankensteined out” by the end of this summer. Is “Frankensteined” really a word? It is now!!!

Slightly frizzy with periods of greasy and crazy. Chance of gray. Long term forecast – not good. Increasing possibilty of frizzy with more periods of being completely out of control.

So I’m modifying this goal….

I want to grow my hair out AND style it like the Bride of Frankenstein. Yes. That’s it. My hair…..it’s ALIVE!!! It’s ALIVEEEEEE!!!

(I just saw the original Bride of Frankenstein movie. The best. Simply the best. I feel so inspired.)

Did some volunteer work this morning. The volunteer co-ordinator said, “Your hair is so dark, thick, and lush. You remind me of a famous movie star, but I can’t remember her name at the moment.”

“Do I remind you of Winonna Ryder? I asked

“No, not her. I can’t remember her name right now.”

So….I feel better about my “crazy hair” situation because someone said that I look like a famous movie star.

These past few days have been good hair days. I think I’m over the “icky” phase of growing my hair out. My hair is nice, thick, manageable, and kind of (but not really) stylish. Maybe in a month or so I’ll check this goal off as completed. I don’t quite feel like I’m out of the hair woods yet.

Operation Hair Growth (OHG) is going awesome. Hair is looking better every day in every way!

OHG is proceeding as expected. Anticipated obstacles include this summer’s heat and humidity. Big Hair Syndrome (BHS) may be experienced if temperatures rise above 90 degrees. Take precautionary measures.

Yesterday I went to visit my father and step mother in northern VT. My step mother is trying to grow out her hair too. Currently, our hair is about the same length. We are in the trenches together fighting The Unruly Hair Beast. Our goal is the same—-we just want to be able to pull our hair back into a pony tail.
