i was talking to a woman i work with today. i was saying how my boyfriend just got a job working nights and how i think it’ll be hard to see eachother. she was saying how hard it is for her husband to work nights. i felt aweful for even complaining about my not seeing my boyfriend.
she said, “i hardly get to see my husband. if he didn’t work nights, at least i’d get to spend all night with him.”
now, i didn’t ask her what she was referring to here. but i when i fall in love and get married, i want to look forward to falling asleep with him every night, to him waking me up with kisses, to cuddleling closer to feel his warmth, to seeing his beautiful face every morning. to me, that is what love is, the constant desire to be next to someone that amazing.
