Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

40% Protein
  1. Saturday, September 22nd Fat – 24.1% Pro – 40.7% Carb – 35.2% No exercise. Not enough water. In dire need of groceries. Happy Saturday!
  2. Sunday, September 23rd Fat – 23.4% Pro – 43.5%% Carb – 33.1% Worked out yippee! Must drink more water. Those pancakes I tried to make were Nuh-asstee!
  3. Monday, September 24th Fat – 27.5% Pro – 42% Carb – 30.5% Another good macro day. Productive workday. Productive evening. What more could one ask for. Good night all! Good water!

  4. Thursday, September 13th: Didn’t keep track. My coworker gave me cinnamon rolls. Good up until the planned Panda Express and the cinnamon rolls
  5. Friday, September 14th: Was doing good until my coworker said she made _(especially for me)_ginataan (A Filipino desert). She sat there until I finished it. It wasn’t that good, not worth ruining my diet for. Got home and had the other half of Panda Express and another cinnamon roll. bleh.

How about 5 days of good eating and the weekends will be allowed 1 meal or snack outside these parameters?

WHEN I do this for 2 weeks, I want those blue earrings!

Yay much better than yesterday. A bit low on calories and in water. But not bad. Pretty satisfied. Happy Monday (=

Sunday, August 12th Protein

Fat – 23.8% Pro – 34.1% Carb – 42.1%

Not bad. Probably could have used a few less carbs, maybe no sweet potato or banana. Not bad. Water intake was good. Stayed pretty thirsty.

Day 1 of 7. If I can do 7 days in a row I will buy earrings similar to the ones above.
