all cards are done and gone but one. I could pay it off completely now but have decided to wait until after taxes are paid. I have some medical stuff coming up that will prevent me from working for a while so I want to keep some cash available. the interest rate on this card is 7% so it’s not too terrible.
i’m so pleased to finally be at this place, the light at the end of the tunnel! One card to pay, only 6 more car payments, and then no debt except the house. that’s a good place to be. :) ‘bout time I grew up! :)

I paid off one credit card completely! I got my most recent statement on it and just loved looking at the $1,000 payment and the ZERO balance!!! I felt I could breathe a bit deeper.
Now it’s to stay focused on this goal of freedom-winning. One big challenge is some recent medical concerns that have already cost almost $900 the last 5 weeks and could result in a much larger expense. But if I keep the goal of being debt-free as my number one priority, then all my choices will take me to this goal. I may have to spend money on necessary medical expenses but I don’t have to spend it on having dinner out after the doctor’s office and I can shop around to different doctors. I already found one doctor who will charge about 1/3 the cost for one surgery that another, recommended doctor was going to charge. Think for myself, keep focused on RATIONAL spending, not emotional spending. I’ll have another card paid off, and another and another…
