Went four days w/o my meds, and it’s not a pretty sight- this withdrawl thing. I gave in and I’m taking my meds again. I just have too much going on between work, school, practicums, and home to worry about breaking down or being unbearable to those around me. I’m gonna have to take a week long vacation just to come off my meds!

Yours Truly, Cate has written 4 entries about this goal
and we’re gonna keep me on the meds for now because I’m adjusting my diabetes medication and we don’t want to make too many changes at once. In six months we will readdress this.
I’ve decided to see how I would react to only taking half of my regular dosage, so this week I have been splitting my pills in two. So far, I can’t say I’ve notice a big change! That’s exciting. I’ll probably continue doing this until I feel confident enough to stop taking them all together (with the approval of my doctor, of course)!
When can you really say you’ve beat depression? I don’t feel sad. But I have to continue to take my antidepressants. Am I always going to have to take them? I really hope to be able to wean myself off of the medication and still continue to be happy. =]
